Scheduled - Updates regarding COVID-19 - Remote Working

As of Friday March 13th, Fat Zebra enacted our remote working policy in response to COVID-19.

Our team are working from home to do our part in keeping our employees and everyone in the community safe.

We’re equipped to successfully do the job remotely, with operations continuing smoothly. You can go on accessing all of Fat Zebra’s products and services, along with continued help from our support teams.

We'll provide further updates as things evolve. In the meantime, thanks for doing your part to ensure the safety and wellbeing of you and those around you.

Update - We are currently monitoring this change post implementation. There was a period of approximately 20 minutes following service re-enablement where performance was impacted due to index load issues, however this has now been resolved and we will be monitoring this closely over the next few hours to ensure optimal performance.

Scheduled - Change Duration: 1 hour, with 1 hour rollback window if required.

In order to maintain current software versions and benefit from improved performance we have scheduled an upgrade for our Production Database Cluster.

As these updates involve restarting the Database Servers we will be switching the Gateway into Maintenance mode until the operations are completed - this is to ensure that there are no transactions attempted during the change window which will fail.

This change is scheduled to take place during the quietest processing periods in order to limit impact to merchants, however we cannot guarantee that transactions attempted during this period will not be impacted.

When the Gateway is switched into Maintenance mode all requests will fail with an error message and there will not be any financial transactions impacted (such as orphaned transactions). We expect that this outage will not take any longer than 1 hour, however we have allowed a sufficient window in the event that the updates take longer than expected - notifications will be sent out when we enter and leave maintenance mode.

Further updates will be provided once the maintenance window begins and finishes.

We apologise in advance for the interruption this has on our merchants and their customers.

Scheduled - Fat Zebra have been advised of scheduled maintenance taking place on one of our switching partners' ends, on Tuesday the 24th of November between 00:00 and 01:30 AEDT. While all efforts are being taken to route transactions via an alternative path there is a chance that this maintenance window may impact merchants switching via this partner.

Merchants switching via this partner may experience two periods of intermittent outages between 00:00 and 01:30 AEDT during this maintenance window. Any potential impact period will not be greater than 15 minutes. This may result in errored transactions with a response code of 91, 92, or 99.

Fat Zebra will be monitoring the services during this maintenance window to ensure that the impact to merchants is minimal. If merchants experience any difficulties following this change window please contact support@fatzebra.com.au for assistance.
